Country Side

A perfect countryside!! Was much impressed by Thiru's camera in Laysa Laysa.. His camera with Sabu Cyril's art work really rocked!!! Tried a shot like that in Munnar... Well.. Neither this is Sabu Cyril's set nor I'm Thiru!! Something impressive atleast (I think)!!!

Eggs

These aren't eggs (actually!!) must are a different kind of mushrooms. They seemed to be eggs of some unknown creature. This was taken after a mild downpour which kept the soil moist.

Solitude

This photo was taken by me in my college!! Known location for many.. but wouldn't be able to realise it!!! The way I walked through for the past 4 years to the department!! The tree every girl saw when coming out of LH!! Really it was amazing to see its relflection on water!! Jus clicked!! [ But a mild shake.. For I didnt have a tripod with me and it needed long exposure... ]

Bed of Tea

When I happened to be in Munnar, I could jus see tea, tea, tea tea, tea and only teaaaa!!! Estates and estates... Bed of tea!!! And the major of it under Kannan-Devan!! [Devan in Kannan-Devan stands for our ex-PM Mr. Deva Gowda!!]... This photo was taken while moving in the bus!! Thank God!! I could focus lock correctly!!

Directions

Too different to see a directions board in the waters. But then.. was puzzled to see 'Km' instead of nauts!! Taken at the outskirts of Allepy.. On the way to Kumarakom!!

Locked up

A long corridor.. resembling the old jails.. at Anna University!! Being the best place at AU, the Red building has immense things to admire at. This long corridor is one among those architectural marvels!!

Alone in the waters

During the Industrial Visit, we had a chance to go to Kumarakom! It was a 3-hour ride in a ferry!! Was fine for the first half an hour.. Then started boring as nothing was around us except water on all sides... This is a house about 5 Kms from Allepy!! One man army in the waters!!! Only means of transport to them was boats!! Really awesome thing..!!!

Ernakulam

During the Industrial Visit to Kerala this month, I happened to reach Ernakulam at 4 o'clock in the morning. The city was totally calm, giving me enuf time to take such a picture at a popular junction in the city. This is one of the very few photos i took without any shake with long exposure during the night!!

Anna University

This photo was taken during the 27th Valedictory function at Anna University. It was really amazing to see Anna University with lights flooding the lanes!! Anna University seemed to dressed in a formal attire that day..!! Of all.. The Main Building rocked as usual!!!

Silver Lining

A thing of beauty is joy forever! An old saying.. Got stuck in my mind on seeing this!!! People say they are usually lost in thoughts... I believe.. It happens when we look at the clouds!!! Mystic in its appearance.. Running slower than tortoise (seems like that to us atleast!!).. Really amazing!!! Especially the silver lines!!!

Sunrise

Morning 6.30 am.. Too hard for a guy like me to get up!!! My sister woke me up to take such a great picture!!! Really amazing to see sun rising amidst the morning fog!!!

Look out for an opportunity..

During these hols i went back home!! I had a chance to go to our house where we lived for 15 years (now we have changed our house..) !! Right from my birth i was there.. Also the house is as old as i'm now... Took out my camera and started taking pictures for a remembrance... And this picture was taken in my room.. Too bright outside.. I used the metering technique to capture the brightness at the window alone.. Ipch.. Finally came out well!! I was wondering on seeing this picture then... Seems to be more accurate for me.. Waiting for the windows to open!! Something like waiting for a good oppportunity in life...

Mushroom Towers

Its raining hard in Chennai. Result: Mushrooms all around our campus.. These mushrooms seemed to be nice.. A click!! It really came out well.. !!!

Atomic Explosion of Clouds

While travelling to Madurai, the climate was cool and was getting prepared to rain. Saw clouds rising like an atomic explosion. Took a snap from the moving train!!!

Mushroom

So nice to mushrooms.. Not only for eclogists!! But for me too.. I found these mushrooms near my room.. So nice were those rings!! Spent some time on its beauty and took some snaps..

My friend Siddaarth told me that mushrooms make ecologists happy since they yield protein to the trees.. He explained a lot more concepts behind it!! All i could infer was that the growth of mushroom is a good sign..!!!

2 Fast 2 Furious

One more photo from the night collections!! Tried to trap a van speeding at a high speed.. ipch.. cud only get the trace of its head light!!! A fine streak of head light from the van in red makes a rich look for the abondoned koturpuram road!!

A night ride at Mount Road

These 2 photos were taken at Mount Road, few days back, at around 11.30 in the night, while returning after treat... These are streaks of headlight from cars and bikes on the other side of the road.. The reason for such an effect is that I used the night mode for taking the snap!! In the night mode, the aperture speed is slow, taking long time for capture. Since more amount of light falls into the lens and the object is in motion, i got a streak of light!! If i wasnt riding, then there wudn't have been any motion blur giving much more effect to the photo!!

Clouds of anger and hatred

(PS-ed version)

While taking a snap of the mountains near my school (Nagamalai) from the terrace of my house, luckily i got two pigeons sitting in opposite directions. Got a myriad of thoughts on seeing it..

Some of them include..

1. One is male and the other female for they are of different colours. Of course, male is black as always ( ;) ).
2. Probably there may caste problems between them like in mankind. (Hope it is not like that!)
3. Each one may be waiting for their air route to get cleared. (Even there are routes for airplanes. wont birds have one?). Read a RFC of using birds for transfer of data. This thought supports it.
4. They may be close friends showing their back out of anger.
5. They may be lovers sitting far-but-near after a terrible fight.
6. (*) They may be siblings. White is the sister of the black brother!! They may be sitting near-but-far after a terrible quarrel actually for nothing. May be each one expecting the other one to give up their anger and speak. But they themselves not giving up the anger.
7. This wud be the best of thoughts i got since it was sitting in my house's terrace reminding me of my quarrels with my loving sister.

P.S.: If the two pigeons are sitting after a quarrel then it shud not be the right place since they are sitting on top of my house's terrace at ''Shanthi Sadhan'!!.

(Dedicating this post to two of my friends who arent speaking to me for a long time [one for 3 years and the other for a month and more!] . Hope they give up their anger and speak to me at the earliest!!)

For many, cellphone has now become the 11th finger in their hand. A second without mobile is something like a minute without air for them (Theory of relativity ??) ... This post is dedicated to all cellphone lovers !!
I tried taking snaps of my new mobile. Nokia 1112 !! The first and the last snaps are the ones i like the most.

Lord Krishna

To start my photoblog with God's grace, lemme put the snap of my mom's master piece!! This glass painting was done by my mom in about a month's time. So awesome that i used to stare at it always when i get back home.. Tried enriching the picture by giving more exposure, but lack of tripod resulted only in blurred images... This is the only snap with a good framing i cud take!! Eagerly expecting ur comments abt the painting rather than the snap.....
